This model was excelent, and required only some minor modification, to allow lights for the smaller engines. The rest of the model suffered only minor modifications, like sanding all "antennas" (?) a little, to achieve more correct proportions.

The painting process went out easily. I used a blue-gray for the main color. But if you just stay with that, you got a good toy-looking model in your hands. So, I decided to do a little "aztecing" over the entire model, creating lots and lots of suddenly darker shades of the same basic blue-gray. Also, I've done some light weathering. That made the model come to a more realistic appearence, in my opinion.

It's an extremely cool looking ship, and one of my favorites, too. Unfortunately, after the 2000 Bandai re-release of the Starblazers models, this model is no longer available.
