"Red Baron" Starfury |

This is my very "german" version of a Starfury: Inspired by our history I painted the entire fighter fire-red like the famous Fokker-Triplane of the also famous WWI fighter-ace Manfred von Richthofen, called also "Der rote Baron - The Red Baron".
The wingart and the registration-number (which is the one of von Richthofens original plane) is taken from a decalsheet of a Revell 1:24 model of the red Fokker, the sign "v. Richthofen" is manually copied from the original sign of the pilot to clear decalpaper. All other decals are the ones from the Starfury kit. Beside from the paintjob the only modifications I made are shorter guns with a drilled hole. I used red from a rattlecan, the engines are painted with Citadel "Bolt Gun Metal" and a black wash. The whole model is a bit weathered, but not too much in face of a proud descendant of the "Red Baron" who flies this fighter and tries to keep it in good shape.
