Wolf Interceptor

By David A. Fox

I have been modeling for the better part of 32 years. I build all model subject matters, the last 10 years I have really become serious about Sci-Fi modeling because of the imagination & creativity it calls upon for me to build the diverse/ limitless subjects available in kit's or scratch built or kit bashing.

This model I have called the "Wolf Interceptor". It is envisioned (hypothetically of course) to be capable of atmospheric & space flight, vertical take off and landing and would of course come with the requisite "Beam Weapons" and specialized missiles.

The kit is built an from a ill-fated SR-71 Blackbird 1/48 scale kit that made a Mach dive (accidentally) of the top shelf in my hobby shop to the floor and did not survive the crash! So I put in my spares box to only find it a year later and thinking what a waste of a nice kit! "I can rebuild it, I have the Technology".

The model was created with the help of the spare parts box and a lot of cutting, puttying, sanding, primer, painting and assorted spare decals. The once great SR-71 became the fear of all Earth's Alien enemies, the Awesome "Wolf Interceptor" of the United Earth Defense Force, Marine Corps 6th Space Defense Interceptor Squadron, 6th Marine Interceptor Group, 6th Earth Defense Force Space Intercept Wing.

O.K. So I got a little carried away; but it sounded good didn't it?
