Haven’t built anything for a while so here is my take on the Nitto SAFS in 1/20th scale. The kit was pretty much built out of the box other than grinding out the inside for the Blast damage. The exterior was ground down with a dremel to replicate the age and more damage. The rust was done using “Rustall” and baking powder to get the texture. Once the model was Rusted, I applied salt to the areas that were not to be painted then sprayed olive drab overall. Once this dried I used a paper towel to remove the salt bringing the rust through the paint. The base is part of an old VLS Stalingrad factory ruin, the girders are plastruct. Paints are Testors and Mig washes and filters. Image: From the side Image: Collapsed griders Image: Trapped!
